Our Services
Currently, NEBC is operating two culinary programs. One of these programs is a collaboration with After School Matters and the other is funded in part by a capacity-building grant from the Justice Advisory Council of Cook County. The banquet hall, kitchen and building grounds serve as a program site for these young men and women ages 14-25.
Youth Programs
You Got Served Teen Apprenticeship: An out-of-school-time program that provides teens ages 14-18 with culinary and hospitality training, along with soft skills training and career readiness throughout the school year and summer.
Adult Learning Programs
The Culinary Experience Training Program: A recently approved initiative that extends the benefits of the teen-based You Got Served apprenticeship to young adults ages 18+ in a co-ed environment, focusing on technical skills and employability.
